Mon Pilar is a NYC-based jewelry brand founded in 2020 by Chilean-American designer, Brigid Mcnellis. Named after her mother, Monica Barbara Pilar, the brand is a tribute to women and, above all, an expression of gratitude.
"Love you more" is an infinitely sweet phrase I remember my mom saying. She was always looking for a way to give more in this world. It's how I remember her, a good principle to live by, and the essence of my brand.
Each piece we make is hand-crafted with love and designed with the purpose of empowering women and making them feel special, compelling them to share beauty and love for each other and the world.
About Brigid
After having studied, taught, and worked in the jewelry industry for over 10 years, Brigid founded Mon Pilar in 2020. Drawing inspiration from Spanish and Italian craft traditions, where she studied and practiced, she skillfully brings together her passion for craft and inherently artistic approach to create a distinct vision of modern luxury that is original and refreshing.
Our Process
Local Production
All of our jewelry is made by hand in Brooklyn, NY, except for our casting and stone setting, which we outsource to our local experts in Manhattan. With an honest love for craft, Brigid employs traditional and ancient methods that have mostly been left behind by today’s mass jewelry manufacturing industry. These methods include wax-carving, sand-casting, hand-fabrication, filigree, and granulation.
Made to Order
In order to minimize waste and efforts, most of our jewelry is made to order and typically requires a 2-3 week lead time. Oftentimes we have a small selection of items in stock that can be ready to ship in 1-2 business days.
