About Mon Pilar

Mon Pilar creates contemporary fine jewelry that draws from centuries of art, craft, and adornment. Through a contemporary lens, historical forms, textures, and techniques are reimagined into distinctive modern heirlooms designed for everyday wear.

Founded in New York City in 2020 by Chilean American designer Brigid McNellis, Mon Pilar is named after her mother, Monica Barbara Pilar. More than a namesake, she remains the heart of the brand and a lasting source of inspiration.

“Love you more” is a phrase Brigid remembers hearing throughout her childhood. It reflected her mother’s generosity, her instinct to give more of herself to the people around her, and her belief in leading with love. That sentiment continues to shape Mon Pilar today, serving as a reminder that jewelry carries meaning beyond the object itself. It holds memories, connections, and the stories of the people who wear it.

About Brigid

With over a decade of experience studying, teaching, and working in the jewelry industry, Brigid founded Mon Pilar with a desire to create pieces that feel both timeless and distinctly modern. Her studies and practice in Italy introduced her to centuries of jewelry, art, architecture, and traditional craft, influences that continue to inform her work today.

Each collection begins with observation and exploration. Historical jewelry, woven structures, architecture, and decorative arts are distilled into sculptural designs that feel contemporary while carrying a sense of permanence. Through this process, Brigid creates a distinctive visual language that is uniquely Mon Pilar.

Our Process

Each Mon Pilar piece is designed in Brigid’s studio and brought to life through a combination of contemporary design tools, traditional jewelry expertise, and the skill of local specialists. Brigid collaborates with trusted experts in casting and stone setting, while personally working on each piece throughout its creation until its final completion in her studio.

This process ensures that every piece receives the attention and care it deserves, with each detail carefully considered and refined before it leaves Brigid’s studio.

Made to Order

In order to minimize waste and encourage thoughtful production, most Mon Pilar jewelry is made to order and typically requires a 3 to 4 week lead time. Occasionally, a small selection of pieces are available in stock and ready to ship within 1 to 2 business days.
